there is another way to get Remnant(enclave) armor than Gannon's quest, and it's simple, you just have to kill a ton of dea-err-mole rats, from Cottonwood cove, swim across the river to the other side and go north, when you can get back on shore you should start seeing enemy blips, alot of them, keep walking north on the shore and you should find a path up, this are is called the dea-err-mole rat promontory, wipe out about 50 enemies and somewhere to the south of the entrance is a corpse wearing the armor, and a BoS corpse, both corpses also have a good number of items to loot on them, the remnant helmet can be found in one of the mines by Jacobstown
I'm very early in the game, but I've focused my game towards being loyal to the NCR - despite inadvertently causing myself to complete one of The Legion's Missions (spreading terror... not sure how I do that). Anyways, I have good gun skills, REALLY high speech, barter, lock, and gun skills. Also, is it wrong in game to shoot people in the back of the head if they annoy you? I shot that guy who "Won the Lottery!" in Nipton, because he pissed me off. :|
Simple enough, just check your Pip Boy, click on that quest and follow the map to the location. Anything else instruction wise would be a spoiler. For the most part your Pip Boy has everything you need for your quests though some tasks are done in steps, like do A then B wil show up. There are usually always markers to follow but beware, some routes take you through areas that you will die-die-die so save-save-save. Usually a good starting point to focus on those initially. One good thing about this game is if you really like it you will play it again and again. On other runthroughs you can concentrate on melee and hand to hand stuff and take perks in that vein. Just note requirements for each of the perks when you level up and it'll tell you what you need to concentrate on. That said, I have yet to get the cajones to go up against a Deathclaw bare handed. Nah, I blew his head off too because at that point coming in you don't know what the hell is going on. I always save before I go into any potential situation even if it's just waiting an hour for an autosave. I do hard saves alot. This run I'm trying to go as far as I can without getting on the wrong side of the Legion but it's coming time to shit or get off the pot. Once you become vilified by a faction it's pretty unlikely to get back in their good graces, though I did manage to deal with the Kahns after a speech check failed and I had to kill a few of them.
There's a shitload of Deathclaws over there, especially further down the river. There's also a submerged rock down there mid river you can stand on and use your Anti Material rifle. Bait 'em out, run like hell, pick 'em off! Easy cheezy!
Fallout new vegas nexus is a good site. I got the water canton dlc item cause i bought the game at gamespot.
Last night I almost completed the Ghoul mission. It took me forever to find Davis (Despite the fact that, looking back, he's in an easy location. By the time I found him, I had killed all of his home boys so he was mad, and I had no choice but to kill him. This weekend, I'll have to find the items needed to complete the launch. I feel... well, I get burdened down with a lot of stuff. I have that sniper from the Dinosaur following me around now so I can use him like a pack animal, but I need money for gun repairs, ammo, etc. Is there any reason to keep the stuff I find, or can I sell, sell sell if I don't need it for missions and such?
awww, you spoiled it for the unsuspecting, and I usually just take the Alien Blaster in there and yawn
What version of the game do you have Apostle. You have to get morrowind sometimes cause Vanilla Oblivion sucks.
Boone is a good companion, especially with the spotter perk. Pretty good pack mule too. Minor Boone Spoiler Concerning Legion There is specific dialogue as you progress with your companions whoever they are. They pretty much all have a side quest attached to each of them so run through the dialogue after completeing a quest to look for any changes. Concerning acquisition of caps for goods... You can sell anything you get, but there are items that are collectables, speciality items like weapons belonging to a person, special armor and other odds and ends that have a rarity to them. Some are ingredients for potions and such and others are components to build weapons at the workbenches once you learn how to. If any item you scrounge up that is quest related you will not be allowed to sell it or drop it. Personally, I never sell any of that stuff, I keep it seperate from my other items in the dresser next to the frige in Novac. Some places will give you a better cap ratio than others, usually those places are attached to a successful completion of a given quest or as grattitude for assisting them with something. Also take care not to use specialty items to repair everyday items, I made that mistake back in F3 a couple of times and didn't realize it untli waaaay further down the road. To me, the Jury Rigging perk is a welcome addition to NV since it allows repairs with items that otherwie wouldn't be compatable for repairs. Many caps are acquired from doing quests as well, NCR is chock full of well paying gigs. Lockpick and science are critical to getting into some places. In this game you have to choose carefully and consider the use of magazines for some of the skills. I love the challange.
Speech and barter after all in fallout you can talk your way out of problems. Sometimes it pays to be a picard in a post nuke war game. Caboose uses the confirmed bachelor perk i think.
Jones? My 360 crapped out actually. I fixed it - or rather, disassembled it and took it to a guy who had experience with the heat gun used to "reball" them. I got the e74 error - two rings!
Yea, a term used to show discomfort over a lack of something usually addictive, in this instance my inability to play and want to do so. Yea, had rings a couple of times and by sheer luck the procedures I used worked. Don't recall what they were but they worked. My issue now is disc reading, it won't do it. I had it apart once to clean it out and it helped the read capability, I suppose I should try that again but I'd just as soon go get a referbed unit.
For my first "play" I decided to focus on supporting Mr. House. I've done as he asks, and now I am going after the boomers to recruit them.
Took the 360 to my shop yesterday and took it apart to clean it out. Did absolutely no good, still won't read the discs. On a bright note since I had NFS Undercover on the hard drive I was able to play that undisturbed today and managed to get to the credit roll. Still stuff to do on that game so at least I can do that. I have Bango Tooie on it too, suppose that's next. Canary Mary can go fuck herself this time though, that's one I don't intend to do again. Hell, I used a sawzall on a controller button to get that Jiggy last time, it was the last one of everything because that was really really fucking hard to do with the old meat digits. I was hoping to get NV in a downloadable form and just give the disc to the kiddo but no such luck at least for now. FO3 is available so eventually maybe. I just need to scrounge up a couple hundred bucks and be done with it.
Is it just Skin, or has anybody else noticed that Caesar kinda sounds like Elmer Fudd? "...and take this fucking pwatinum chip with you, heheheheheheheheheh!" "Go to Wegate Wanius, heheheheheheheheheheheh!"
