Yea, if I'm not mistaken there's even a bit of dialogue in there to ask him about it if you want to piss him off.

Eh, no, as Skin recalls, you get to ask [-]Odo[/-] Mr. House, if he wants you to kill Caesar. Incidentally, you can make [-]Odo[/-] Mr. House throw a tantrum if you refuse to give him the whatsit.

Got the Dead Money DLC, which was nerve racking and annoying but very well done. I get a nervous twitch whenever I see a radio in game now... LOL. Went back and did a few more quests, I've got two companions whose quests I couldn't finish, and at least one side quest (in the Thorn which I didn't bother with until very late in the game).

GREAT game, one of my all time favorites, and sounds like they've got the story mapped out for the inevitable sequels.

There's a pretty good mod site out there too with additional quests, and one weather mod that really increases the ambience. Sandstorms and Radstorms? Yes please. :) Haven't tried it yet though.

I might go back through the game, soemthing I rarely do, playing it as a bad guy with a differenct set of skill assumptions. I played this time as friendly to the NCR but ultimately supporting an independent Vegas, and I did my usual Vault Dweller build - good at speech, energy weapons, lots of brainy perks especially for skill points and books, no survival to speak of, low unarmed, though decent melee (of course by the time I capped out at level 35 I was pretty good across the board).

I'm thinking to go Conan next time. :)

Yep, going to replay it with the mods, downloaded about a dozen of them last night, so far no compatability issues. Dozens of new arnors, hundreds of new weapons (including all of the weapons released in every previous version), new quests (including a series of bounty hunter quests), new locations (one mod adds 50), upgraded textures, upgraded weather, upgraded night, bullet time slow mos, new cybernetics, new HUDs and vision modes based on the various headgear you can get in game....

Yeah, this is going to keep me busy for a while. Going to play a hardcore game as Reaver Karsk, a tribal who got a taste of civilization and decadence but never bothered to learn the morals that came with it... :) Makes sense that that's the type of guy that would be in the Mojave Express, used to the wasteland but has to find a way to pay for his liquor and stims.

I can't wait for the new DLCs and how they'll interact in the big picture. I managed another runthrough with little tweaks here and there but this one had some glitches show up that made it impossable to complete some of the quests which is kind of a pisser.
One is where I went and saved the monorail from the bomb, now all the guy does is ask me how it turned out or some such and offers no response and I checked every possability of the speech runthrough with him.

I've spent a little time at the vault wiki investigating some of the issues with it so eventually I hope to get a clean run without any issues like this. I suppose I got something out of order or something this time but I made it a point to level almost all the way to 34 and a half before I went back to Dead Money and made sure I had full weight capiacity at 300 as well. I wanted to have 100 science, lockpick, speech and guns too to make sure there wasn't anything I couldn't get into.

I have been trying to accomplish all of the challenges in there too and for the life of me I can't find the last suitcase with Dean's secret stash in it. Twice now I've gotten to 14 but this time I looked for it for days in every nook and cranny I could think to look in. Kinda chaps my ass actually.

One bummer though is my survival was left low this time and as it turns out my campfire skills suck. At least the perk for ammo is there but not so for this stuff. 29 doesn't allow you to make much.

I also have been trying to get all of the gold bars out. There is a way to do it but I haven't been able to pull it off yet but it hasn't been from not trying.

I have yet to do the evil run on Dead Money yet where you whack all companions and work a deal with Elijah. Apparently you can get out and he can as well which allows him as he put it wipe the slate clean which means kill everybody in the Mojave. I need to give that a go next week and see the end story for that.

I remember my first runthrough of this DLC and it took freakin' forever.

One thing I felt like a dumbass about was the holomerchants there. It finally dawned on me I could trade off crap for prewar money and that's what I did with anything that wasn't nailed down. I saved one of all of the specialty items and traded off the rest. I ran my barter up to 95 before going in and with Vera's garb that brought it up to 100+. I managed to clean out three of them by selling off five of the six bars I got out with and all of the crap. Made a mint that time.

I like the Yes Man run, and for yucks I told him to throw Oliver off the dam and you know what? There was a cut scene where he did, tossed his ass screaming right off one of the towers! :rotfl:
Oh crap, I laughed myself into tears over that one!

I've decided I will eventually get the PC version so I can tinker with the G.E.C.K. and see what I can come up with, but I need another computer to run it I think. Maybe by the time the DLCs are all out I can do that.

    I can't wait. :happydance:

Replaying New Vegas tonight now that I have the Dead Money DLC. Something I've noticed before but never really gave too much thought to until now...

Isn't it odd when you're having a fairly benign or mundane conversation with an NPC, and when you tell them goodbye, they go, all evil like... "Lllllllaterrrrr!!!"

    O.O

First time through Dead Money I hit it at 20, the minimum required to survive if the game warning is to be believed.
Last time through I waited until I was at 35 so I could just storm my way through.
I haven't sided with Elijah yet, I need to give that a whirl along with killing off all of the others there.

I'm doing my first hardcore run now (I'm at 16) and I figured out right quick that the companions will be hearing "wait here" a lot more since they die when a swarm of cazadores swarm us.

I know where the nests are for the most part but a bunch came out of an odd area today and killed Boone and Rex before I could kill them all.
I immediately went to Gun Runners and took it up the shute to get a brush gun.

I feel sure I won't be just taking the boat to Ceasars place this time around unless it's just me and a modified granade machinegun.
The hardcore aspect makes you think, plan a bit more.

Can't wait for the next installment.

I suppose I need to actually run a storyline in here since that was why I started it.

Just haven't felt too creative lately.

So is Dead Money any good? I hadn't bothered to check it out since I went through a strategy phase (and I've conquered Europe enough times these past few months that I'm going to actually try to finish Dragon Age now...)

I might rather want to shoot a few heads though...

    Decisions, decisions...

Dead Money is alright, numerous ways to complete it and being forced to co-operate is an interesting twist. The dual nature of Dog/God is interesting though admittedly I haven't tried all possable combinations yet.

Next DLC is due soon, kiddo told me tonight they were releasing the trailer and she suspected a release within a month. That'd be nice.

Unlike Broken Steel in F3 extending the game, from what I understand there will be no extention beyond the battle for the dam in any of the DLCs in this series.

    Pity.

It has gotten easier and quicker though as many times as I've gone through it, I can run multiple quests and cut down travel time considerably now.

Fucking Cazadores killed us all again today. :shakefist:
I tried to administer stimpacks to Rex today and it killed him. It was so sad, he just fell over dead and slid down the hill. :(

I had about four hours from a hard save in when I went to Camp Forelorn Hope to wrap up Medical Mystery when I stepped out the med tent it showed failure on one of the main quests, Upon looking for the Major i found him dead in his tent and still haven't figured out what killed him.

Vault 3 was the task today, getting in and talking to Motor Runner was something I hadn't done yet so i whipped out a party time mentat and talked my way in. He bought up some of my chems and then wouldn't talk anymore.
    So I whacked him. :foil:
Odd part was, the entire vault of them didn't turn on me, just the Fiends in the immediate vicinity. Once I went to another room, they were Ok.
I even released the prisoners and they didn't do anything. It was funny watching the three of them sneak away and no one trying to stop them.
I had the key from Daniel, same deal, whacked him, elsewhere they weren't hostile.

Hell, Anders was even gone when I got to his holding area and had made his way back to McCarren. When I approached him there he gave dialouge like he was still trapped in the vault.

Buzz is the Honest Hearts is supposed to be released April 19th, but I dunno, that's a little over a week away. We'll see i guess.
I couldn't find a trailer for it yet though.

All of the DLCs are hinted at through paint slatherings everywhere. If one has the PC version apparently the file folders are there as well.

Huh. Did not know that. I'll have to have me a gander.

Thing is, I use http://www.newvegasnexus.com to mod the livin' shit out of my copy, but I have even at this moment not taken the time to look and see if there are extra folders in the DLC portion of the game directory.
