THe two biggies from where I'm sitting with the Clinton agreement are, manditory background checks before selling a S&W PERIOD, and barring sales of more than one S&W at a time.

So is S&W still doing this? I've never bought one, so I don't know.

    That's a shame. S&W makes excellent carry revolvers. :(

I thought they quit doing it when they got bought out in 2001, but maybe I was wrong.

That's not what I meant. I meant the part that you said it was "a shame" about.

That's why I keep askiing. What is it in the original Clinton agreement that they're still doing that they weren't doing before the Clinton agreement?

They must have changed something if they were able to end the boycott and put the company back into the black.

I was of the understanding that the deal was nullified fairly early in the Bush Administration.

Try buying a new one. Just go on...try it. :bergman:

Also, they still have serious fuckin' quality control issues. 90's era Colt level QC issues. That new internal gunlock they're pushing? Unreliable at best, lethal at worst. I know of three, personally, that have failed to function during range training. I know of one, through the web, that has failed to function resulting in the user's death.

What? I know of a few people who've gotten their new AR.

Well, QC issues I can certainly understand.

S&W has always had QC issues, though.
