Either Biden or Trump will be president. That isn't a probably, it's a 100% certainty.

If you want Trump to remain, voting for him, not voting, or voting third party will help that.

If you don't want Trump then you're an idiot for not voting for Biden.

Those that think Biden is a bad man for the job have been reading too much Russian/GOP propaganda. He's not ideal, but he's not a bad man, and is eminently electable.

I'm not excited about Biden, but his choice of VP might be rather good.

Yes, one should always vote - if they vote - for the person whom they wish to win.

That is not even remotely my point.

If someone wishes to vote another way, or not at all, you do not get to get upset about it. That is, just like protests, a cornerstone of our democracy. Telling someone how they should vote is so un-American that to listen to people do so infuriates me as much as those who say people shouldn't be allowed to protest - or tell them how they should protest.

All of you are just as bad as trump sympathizers and you can disagree and put your "dumb" comments all you want. But, ... just know, the more you do so, the more you look like Marso, Tuttle, Old Fella, et al, to me.

Uh, no. That is not a qualifier. People can vote any way they want and they are under no obligation to do so in a manner you deem acceptable.

Is there a candidate you like? What are your reasons for voting for that person?

I don't think I told you (or anyone) how to vote. I stated you're an idiot if you don't want Trump to win to vote for someone besides Biden. The idiot vote is strong in this country; that's how we got Trump.

I hope our system changes. Electing Trump for another 4 years isn't a good way of causing change. That would be throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

And yes I can be upset with your vote, and express my dismay. That's human. That's freedom of expression. What I cannot do is prevent or interfere with you voting your choice.

And others can point out that any supposed liberal/progressive/decent person should want Trump out of office as soon as possible and anything except a vote for Biden is not working towards that goal.

I may agree with you about trump and the election. Others may as well. What I"m saying is that to tell someone how to vote is totally un-American. You can do so, you are free to do so, but, when you do, you might as well be telling someone how to protest.

Sorry, I edited my post after you replied, but I disagree, telling a person how to vote, and more importantly, why, is totally american.

edit: I'll also tell people how to protest, thank you very much.

In both cases they're free to ignore me as long as I"m not interfering with their exercising their right to vote and express themselves.

Persuading people to vote a certain way is un-American? How, exactly? Not only is it an exercise of free speech, it's also one of the basic concepts of how a democracy is supposed to function.

You are missing something. What if I do not want trump or biden to win? You are fooling yourself into wanting one of them to win. I say that because no one is actually saying biden is someone they want. It is a shit sandwich no matter who wins. One just looks nicer than the other. They are both shit. My job is to eat as little of their shit as possible. Seeing how you like shit when it is dressed up right I am going to say perhaps it is better if shit looks like shit so you don't start trying to force feed everyone else biden's shit. At least when it is trump's shit you are not telling all of us how we have to accept it.

The fallacy is in thinking that if you disagree with two people, there can be no difference in degree. First, you are telling us that voting for Biden is no better than voting for Trump. Now you are telling me that because I think it is better to vote for Biden, I am just as bad as the supporters of the President who has, to name just one horrible thing, casually killed 120,000+ Americans. Where are the graves of my victims? Can I visit them?

To put this in star trek terms:

We are the humans on the planet with the kardasians (Trump) and romulans (Russians) trying to kill us, and while we were yelling for help to the federation (decent dem candidates) they sent the ferengi (Joe Biden) instead.
